Som1 uses primarily spray paint to create a multitude of artworks on custom stretched canvases. The techniques and styles used for each piece are chosen with intention; to explain the work in both a physical and representational sense. Som1 Somewhere chose this name not to be anonymous, but rather to keep the focus on the art and its meaning. The name Som1 is intentionally encompassing in order to allow the viewer to place themselves in the artist's role and drive the meaning of the work. Som1’s work has an infinite number of meanings because the art poses a question and doesn’t give an answer. The questions asked in Som1’s work attempts to create a new perspective within the viewer, rather than explain Som1’s own perspective. Som1’s overall message through their body of work asks the question: “why do we think what we think?”
