These paintings are hand stretched, primed and sanded 5 times before the painting process begins. Each piece starts as a sketch and is built up and transposed onto the canvas. Som1 uses a screen printing layering and registration style to stencil each layer of color. The stark white and colorful backgrounds set the base for a figure study to pop towards the viewer. The key components of the posed are echoes in the black line work that creates the figures itself. These paintings are finished with a few simple lines of spray paint that both hide and define the figure.
